SEPANG: A fire almost completely destroyed the CID administration and senior investigation officers’ room at the Sepang police headquarters here.
Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof confirmed that the fire occurred on Tuesday (March 22) evening.
“The fire occurred at the Sepang CID administration and senior investigation officers’ room at the police headquarters,” he said when contacted on Tuesday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said they received a distress call about the fire there at 6.15pm.
“We dispatched 12 firemen and a fire engine from the KLIA fire station and they arrived 12 minutes later.
“Our personnel managed to put out the fire in 30 minutes,” he said, adding that the room was about 80% destroyed by the fire.
He also said that no one was injured in the fire.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation,” he said.
