Metre-long croc captured in housing area in Johor

JOHOR BARU: A metre-long young crocodile lost its way and ended up at Jalan Nibong 16, Taman Daya near here on Wednesday (March 2).

Tebrau Fire and Rescue station chief Shamsul Komari Bakar said it received an emergency call around 6.57pm, with regards to the presence of the reptile.

“Four firemen from the station were deployed to the scene with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT),” he said in a statement.

The operation was led by senior officer Ramli A. Hamid.

“The wandering crocodile was captured,” said Shamsul.

The operation ended around 7.23pm.
