PETALING JAYA: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has pledged to continue working hard to assist and protect the interests of the people in his constituency, Ayer Hitam.
Dr Wee, who is the MP of the Johor seat, also thanked the entire Umno branch machinery in Yong Peng who worked tirelessly to bring Barisan Nasional and him to victory in the recent 15th General Election (GE15).
“Since 2004, such are my loyal friends who have been with me through thick and thin.
“With the mandate given by the voters in the GE15, I will continue to work hard with my friends to help the multiracial folks in the Ayer Hitam parliamentary constituency.
“I believe that with Ling Tian Soon as Yong Peng assemblyman and Johor state exco member, various efforts can be channelled from time to time for the benefit of the people,” Dr Wee said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Dec 10).
Earlier, he said he had returned to his constituency and held a meeting with Yong Peng Umno branch leaders.
